Scholarships In Australia

Scholarships In Australia

Australia is a popular destination for international students from all over the world. It has excellent universities, world-class teaching staff, and a diverse community of students. The universities in Australia offer many scholarships or financial assistance to deserving international students. In this page we will try to explore some of them.

Types of assistance

The cost of education in Australia is not affordable for all. The universities know that very well. Australian universities are very generous in providing financial support to exceptionally talented students in forms of tuition fees waivers, stipend, research grants, or bursaries in certain deserving subject or research areas. This attracts many international students every year for masters or PhD projects. The categories of scholarships are as follows.

Based on Merit

If you have exceptional academic results or achievements and love to compete, universities in Australia would love you to compete for these scholarships. Your academic achievements matter.

Based on Destination

The government is promoting regional areas of Australia to international students. That is why there are numerous scholarship offers in these destinations. This is to encourage more students to live, study and later work in these regional areas.

Postgrad or Research Scholarship

There are areas where a lot of research and innovation are needed. This is why universities offer numerous scholarships to the students who want to study these subject areas. The university will look into the detailed application of the admission seeking students and decide how they will be offered scholarships.

Tuition fee waiver

There are a handful of universities that offer tuition fee waivers to new international students.

How to apply for scholarships

Usually, there are no separate applications for scholarships. If your records and achievements are excellent, you will automatically be considered for scholarships. Just make sure that you have properly filled out the application with appropriate documentation.
