Description
The Bachelor of Biomedical Science prepares students for careers in a variety of biomedical professions by emphasizing the fundamental understanding of the structure and function of the human body. In purpose-built laboratories, students will develop "career-ready" skills, and they will graduate well-equipped to work with scientists on investigations of human structure and function at the molecular, cellular, and entire system levels in health and disease.
Graduates may pursue careers as leading medical researchers who promote disease diagnosis and treatment, as experts in the development, testing, and commercialization of novel medical medicines, or as medical science communicators. Graduates may pursue careers as medical practitioners with advanced research skills or as medical laboratory scientists with additional postgraduate training.
