Applicants with advanced degrees research
Applicants can apply if they have finished part of a higher education course, either at a higher education provider other than a university or at a university. Applicants from other schools who want to switch to Box Hill Institute or Box Hill Institute students who want to switch to a different course can apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL).
All RPL requests are looked at on an individual basis, and approval is given for subjects where the content and learning outcomes have been shown to have been met by completing subjects in a previous course.

Obtained a score of at least 25 in the Units 3 and 4 of the VCE English set of studies OR displayed an equivalent level of literacy
A VCE mathematics unit grade of at least 25 OR successful completion of a tertiary entrance mathematics equivalence course (TEMEC)
Satisfactorily completing a 30-minute selection interview that was conducted one-on-one. Instead of the CASPer test, which is not necessary for enrollment in this course, a selection interview will be held. During the selection interview, you will be verbally evaluated for your suitability to teach young children through a series of questions that include situations analysis.
