What you will study

The Bachelor of International Security Studies (with Year in Asia) requires the completion of 192 units, of which:

  1. A maximum of 60 units may come from the completion of 1000-level courses.

  2.  Bachelor of International Security Studies (144 units). 

  3. 48 units from the successful completion of the Year in Asia major, which must include 24 units of language study.

Admission Requirements

  • For undergraduates, a minimum career GPA of 5.0 out of 7.0 is required.

  • 48 units following completion of ANU coursework, which must include.

  • 24 units or more have passed since you last took a course in the subject you're aiming for.

The Bachelor of Asian Studies requires completion of a minimum of 12 units from non-language courses.
