The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Honours) degree is required to work as a medical laboratory scientist. You will gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the clinical laboratory medicine disciplines for use in the diagnostic environment.

After finishing the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences, you will be prepared to explore career choices as a medical laboratory scientist (Honors). A medical laboratory scientist's duties include performing medical laboratory tests to help with disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.

Entry Requirements

Before submitting your application, you must show proof that you have complied with the entry requirements and English language competency levels.

After you have applied and enrolled in this course, you must fulfill the Security and Health Requirements, which usually apply to the work-integrated learning activities that are a part of your course. You will learn more about the security and health requirements after enrolling in the relevant units to which they apply.

• Candidates must provide verification of completion within the last five years, or

• A certificate of intermediate education (Years 11 and 12 or the equivalent), or

• A minimum overall GPA of 4.0 and two years of full-time study toward a bachelor's degree are required.

• A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic), including 6.0 in speaking, listening, and reading.
