With the Bachelor of Psychological Science degree at CQUni, you may hone your skills in improving the health and wellbeing of others while pursuing your interest in human cognition and behavior. You will also increase your knowledge of the various basic study areas that make up the science of psychology and obtain a complete understanding of its guiding principles, ideas, and concepts.
Also, you will use a capstone unit that offers you the chance to complete a project or a placement opportunity to benefit from learning that is practically oriented and hone your employability skills. To broaden your knowledge in a way that best meets your interests and career goals, study related fields.
After successfully completing an approved three-year psychology study sequence, you can apply for a competitive entry spot in the CQUniversity Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honors) program. Honors level study prepares students for both the coursework necessary for conditional registration as a psychologist in Australia and/or research higher degree courses in psychology.
What you will study
You must complete eight optional units in addition to the necessary 16 core psychology units. Two four-unit minors or an eight-unit major are available as alternatives for elective units.

Not everyone with a psychology degree chooses to become a psychologist, and those who do work in a variety of professions, including:
Child safety officer
School guidance officer
English (Units 3 & 4, C) or equivalent
A secondary qualification or equivalent
An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) diploma level qualification, or
Bachelor level qualification study with a minimum overall GPA 4.0
English Language Requirements
A minimum overall band score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic), including 5.5 in speaking, listening, and reading.
