What you will study

Program Structure

You will gain the skills and information necessary to manage the full range of conditions that speech pathologists assess and treat, including:


  • All acquired and developmental human communication disorders

  • Swallowing disorders

  • Speech disorders

  • Fluency disorders

  • Voice disorders

  • Communication disorders of neurological origin


The curriculum requires 320 units to be completed successfully. Students must finish the following:


  • 300 units for Core courses.


  • 20 units of Electives for the ungraded honors pathway, or


  • 20-unit Compulsory Course for Graded Honours, or


  • Compulsory Course for 20 units in the International Stream.



Students will take a range of foundational courses, including:
