You will learn how to implement general nursing care, evaluate the health of clients, and analyse health-related data during this health course. The training will help you improve your communication abilities and gain an understanding of how to operate within nursing's legal and ethical frameworks.


You will finish at least 400 hours of required clinical placement in a variety of healthcare settings in urban, suburban, and rural areas.

Entry Requirements

  • Age minimum of 18 years (mature age students are welcome to apply)

  • Show strong literacy and math abilities (all applicants must take the Box Hill Institute core skills diagnostic test). The minimal exit level for applicants in literacy, numeracy, and writing is level 3.

  • have the following checks available before the first clinical placement:

  • a fresh clean Employing Children Verify a recent, unblemished National Police Record. Examine a current immunization/vaccination record (including flu vaccination)

  • Possess a history of all COVID19 vaccinations

  • Possess rudimentary computer skills

  • Go to a roundtable interview

  • Before enrolling, you must show proof that you have at least one of the following two English language requirements met:

  • English as your first language of communication OR a valid English test via one of the methods below:

  • Academic part of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The only test results we accept are:

  • if you receive a minimum overall score of 7 in each test sitting, a minimum score of 7 in each component throughout the two sittings, and no score in any component of the test is lower than 6.5. from one test sitting, or a maximum of two test sittings in a 6-month period.
