The Master of Contemporary Art Practices is intended for artists who want to start a more ambitious, independent contemporary art practice. The curriculum broadens a student's practical, theoretical, and conceptual understanding.
This course is to help them better understand contemporary practices in the context of how artists work across a range of disciplines. Contemporary artists explore the challenges and problems that develop in today's increasingly digitally advanced and interconnected society.
To widen their work, they employ a variety of approaches, topics, and materials. Artists today are increasingly problem-solving in addition to working with a variety of partners and thinking outside the box to develop contemporary methods.
This graduate program is special in that it fosters the growth of hands-on learning in workshop, studio, and digital environments by moving students through courses that enable individualized practice-led research opportunities.
Students are encouraged to engage in a variety of contemporary art practice strategies, with a focus on developing specialized knowledge of materials and skills.
Also, experimenting with novel conceptual approaches, and identifying solutions through interactions with people from different fields or disciplines. Students can engage in and immediately benefit from the research environment that exists within the School of Art and Design.

The Masters of Contemporary Art Practices requires completion of 48 units, which must consist of:
Research training ( 24 units)

Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate knowledge of contemporary art processes, including context-relevant information, ideas, abilities, and methods;
Organize and carry out a practice session by yourself. -led investigation using methods to assess and examine important, accomplished pieces of art or design;
Think critically about, evaluate, and use theoretical, conceptual, and aesthetic elements of creative practice when making creative works or projects that are important for your job.
Independent practice-led research can be used to present theoretical, artistic, philosophical, and creative notions in an independent manner to a range of audiences.

Entry Requirements
The minimal qualifications for enrollment are a 5.0/7.0 GPA and a Bachelor's degree, or its international equivalent.
