The Master of Nursing from VU Online, which can be specialised in Chronic Disease and Aging or Nursing Leadership, is for registered nurses who want to change the way health services are provided in Australia.
The course prepares nurses for the challenges of clinical leadership, research, and advanced practise roles in their chosen specialisation.
Students will learn skills that are needed for senior nurse leaders in eight core units of study, such as Promoting Cultural Competence and Community Health, and four specialised units in their chosen field of study.

Entry requirements
Bachelor of Nursing at AQF Level 7 or a qualification that is equivalent
Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) (AHPRA)
Have at least one year of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse or the part-time equivalent; OR
For the Graduate Certificate in Nursing, applicants don't need an AQF 7 Bachelor of Nursing or an equivalent degree as long as they have a current Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and the equivalent of one year of full-time or part-time clinical work experience. Those who finish the Graduate Certificate successfully will be able to apply to the Master of Nursing programme and get credit for the units they have already finished.
